We are loading up and moving to Jonesboro Arkansas.
Rhett will be the Offensive Coordinator for Arkansas State University. Although God has been preparing me for some time, it doesn't make it easy. The 10 months we have spent here in Birmingham have been so great. We love our church and the friends we have made. We have been surrounded by great people. Samford University was so great to us- the people could not have been more friendly or more supportive. We have been truly blessed to be part of such a special program and place. Rhett and I have both cried a few times (ok, me a lot) because we both have BIG hearts and when we love, we love hard. Saying goodbye to his fellow coaches and players was extremely difficult for Rhett. We do know that God has called us to move on... but as we go, we will remember this place and the people that made it so special. I know that there are more memories to make and more people to meet. We are excited that God has given us another great opportunity. It doesn't hurt that we are much closer to our families as well. : ) Thank you for the sweet comments some of you have already posted. I have been waiting to say something until Rhett's press conference today. Look out ARKANSAS, here we come!!
On an unrelated note- Here are some pics of the boys from the park yesterday.

They weren't sure at first-
The giggling followed.
Not sure still...
Lovin' it!
Mom with her baldies.
We went with Adrian (who is expecting #2!!!) and her daughter Caroline. I met them through our bible study.
We will miss them for sure!!!
Got a quick pic of the boys with our favorite babysitter, Lauren. She has been watching the boys for us since we first moved to Birmingham. We will miss her big time. We all had a good cry the other day when we told her the news.
That's our latest news!! Excited for the adventures to come!

That picture with you and the boys is AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeleteChange is hard, but I have a feeling you'll be happy no matter where you are. You just seem like that kind of chicka!
"Look out Arkansas, here we come!" may be my favorite sentence I've read this week. We can't wait to have you back in The Natural State and so much closer for having play dates. I will be praying for the transition though as not only will it be hard for you guys, but you blessed many others who will have a hard time with you leaving. Love you all, and I'm so proud of Rhett!

I know I posted on your FB wall, but just wanted to again say that I am so excited for you guys! Last Sunday I read an article about it while at Bryan's grandmother's house for lunch. Not sure of its date though. The boys are growing like weeds. I swear they look twice as big as they did a few weeks ago. Have a very Merry Christmas!
